Well, I keep hoping and praying for warmth.  I actually went outside without my jacket zipped up today.  I’M A REBEL!! That’s right Winter, I’m rebelling against the Cold!! Who’s with me?!?  A quick photo from a Day Before Shoot of a Destination Wedding at the Gran Caribe Real in Mexico.  The best way to shoot a wedding in February…

The closest I’ve been to Palm Trees…

it feels like years since I’ve seen Palm Trees let alone flourishing trees.  Ok winter, we get the point.  You’re cold, brutal and windy.  Now leave! I promise you can come back and visit us next year.  But for now, we’ve had enough.  We long for sun and warmth.

Niagara Falls in the Wintertime.  Couldn’t resist snapping this photo, dreaming of a beach far away, sipping margaritas by the water as pool boy “Juan” fans me and feeds me grapes.  Ok, I really don’t need the pool boy, but the sun, heat, beach, warmth, margaritas…well that’s a different story.

Taken with my trusty Iphone.

Alysha & Patrick | Baby It’s Cold Outside

NewMarket Wedding Photography

Brrrrr…Hopefully most of you are staying warm and indoors.  But there are quite a few of you who prefer the Winter months.  Skiing, snowboarding, freezing your butt off seems to be your norm, and holy smokes, power to you.  As I tell all of my brides, if you want it shot in sub below weather, I will do it, but forgive me if my hands/body don’t move as quick.  I freeze very easily.  I’m sensitive like that!  What do you expect? My parents were born in Aruba…I am definitely warm blooded.  But I always have fun, because I really do have great couples.

On this day, we ventured out to Fairy Lake in NewMarket for some NewMarket Engagement Photography. Alysha and Patrick love the winter, so of course it’s befitting that they should have a winter engagement.  We did freeze, but thankfully, we did not do this shoot this past couple of weeks where the weather really has been unbearable.  We did it in “warmer” weather.
