This time when I ventured out to Justin and Lisa’s place, the whole fam was there. I hadn’t seen Caleb in a few years and wondered would he be shy, quiet, not want anything to do with me. I shouldn’t have worried. Immediately he questioned if I had ever played COD (For those in the “not” know category, that’s short for Call of Duty.) I may have fibbed and told him I was the COD champion in the Durham Region. Soooo, needless to say, he immediately challenged me to a COD match and well, I had to regretfully (read: Thankfully) decline. I was there to take photos. (read: I was scared out of my pants and need to practice before I take this kid on!) Maybe he (read: I) will feel more comfortable if we played Super Mario Brothers or something like that. Now if COD involves any of the activities in the next photos I could be in a lot of trouble:
LOL, he’s a sweet kid who loves to play regardless of whether it’s a video game or running or beating his dad up. He’s got some pals around the house that he loves:
And well of course his new little sister. (That’s my girl…FIST PUMP!)
(I forgot pics of the turtles – Romeo & Julie. Lisa, I just named the turtles! I think it suits them!!) Anytime I go over to Justin and Lisa’s I feel welcome and comfortable and probably overstay my welcome. Funny, they’ve never kicked me out, well at least not yet!
I think this next pic says it all…
Orono Family Photography
When your friend asks you to photograph their family there is always some added pressure. I’ve known Tara now for hmmm…about 1/4 of my life. (Not that long, considering I’m still in my 20s. AHEM) We met while playing slo-pitch and we played on the same team forever. But alas, all good things must come to an end and with time comes changes (read: falling in love), different interests (read: boating/fishing on the weekends with said love), new babies (read: adoption of cute doggie). So, alas ball took a backseat and we lost a great ball player. 🙁 BUT we didn’t lose a great friend. Tara is one of those people who is smart, beautiful and a great person. If we needed her, she would have our backs in a second. We all know that…and there is always a spot on the ball team for her (hint…hint….hint…)when she decides to come out of retirement.
We traveled to The Orono Crown Lands. Oddly enough it’s a spot I’d never been to before, but managed to find myself at for two shoot in a matter of 7 days. Funny how things happen like that! What’s even odder is that the couple I ended up shooting there a week later, saw us, and wondered aloud if it was “Elaine from Elaine Eve Photography”. So random! But back to the pics.
Tara, you have a wonderful family (I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that), but I hope it’s nice to hear anyway. Now, on to the photos!
Meet the matriarch and patriarch of this wonderful family – mom and dad.
These next few “leaf” shots, ALWAYS make me smile. I love the look on mom and dad’s face. Just utter enjoyment. Says so much to me…
I think someone may have needed a little nap after the wrestling, and I don’t mean the kids!
The boys:
The girls:
I had to pull some hair to get this shot…(namely mine!)
And well because we couldn’t very well leave the 4th grandchild out:
What a fitting tribute to your mom. Wonderful photo!
