Kirsten & Travis | Berkeley Church Wedding in Toronto

_EEP6047-Edit

Once again we were blessed with great weather on this day! But again, I do believe it was the last mild wedding day of the year for me. (But I promise to face the cold with dignity and GLOVES!)

I have never had the opportunity to shoot at The Berkeley Church in Toronto before, until now, so I was super excited for this venue.  Plus Kirsten and Travis are an awesome, friendly couple and very easy to photograph.   Those two ingredients always make for an awesome day.  (If you haven’t all ready, please stop by their engagement session here.)  On to the wedding!  Kirsten wore her gorgeous Ron White heels, you honestly would never have known that her foot was recently broken and still hasn’t healed.  Crazy!  She literally ran up the aisle to Travis when she first saw him – so I think I’m going to need to see a Drs note because I think your foot is heeled.  (PUN and SPELLING TOTALLY INTENDED!!)

These photos of Travis getting ready were taken by my 2nd photographer, the wonderfully talented Aaron…

While Aaron photographed the groom getting ready, I was with the gushing bride to be…(see if you can’t spot me in one of these photos!)

Kirsten & Travis, May your days (and nights) be filled with endless amounts of romance! The romance you deserve and may you one day take that trip to Paris. (and send me a postcard while you’re there!)

Atheena & Chris – High Park Engagement Session

Wedding Ring Photography

BRRRRRRR….It’s cold in here, there must be some Toro’s in the…Oh no, that’s just a line from one of my favourite movies (I admit sheepishly).  But really, BRRRRRRRR.  The weather has dropped 10 degrees from one day to the next.  It seems the boys were wearing shorts last week and now this morning I was chastising them for not wearing their winter coat and hats.  Mind you they are teenagers and looked at me like “what’s a hat???”

Thankfully, we managed to sneak Atheena and Chris’ engagement session under the radar when the weather was still nice!  So no chattering teeth for this session, but I don’t think I’ll be able to say that for any future sessions.

Stefanie & Fraser | Kitchener Wedding Photographer

Photo of Wedding Rings You may remember Stefanie & Fraser from their engagement session back in 2012, if not refresh your memory and have a peak at it here! If feels like that was so long ago and that their wedding day took forever to get here! But get here it did, and it was well worth the wait.  Stefanie & Fraser are down to earth, easy-going people.  It rained on their day and for most bride’s this would be a catastrophe.  But for Stefanie, it didn’t matter, and of course it shouldn’t.  At the end of the night if you are married to the person of your dreams, the weather doesn’t matter!  As luck would have it though, it magically stopped raining come ceremony time. The girls got ready at The Walper Hotel in Kitchener. Kitchener Wedding Photography

Toronto Wedding Photographer-17 Both the ceremony & the reception were held at Verses Restaurant on Victoria Street in Kitchener.   Before the ceremony started we could hear someone crying and I was sure it was Stefanie’s mom as she had been crying earlier.  The cries got louder and I realized it was Stefanie in the back, waiting to walk down the aisle, overcome with emotion.  (We laughed about it in the limo afterwards…”Was that really you crying like that?” ) 🙂  but why not? Weddings are such an emotional time. Kitchener Wedding Photographer

Toronto Wedding Photographer-25 After the ceremony, there was some debate as to whether we should go to the planned destination for photos or go somewhere else because of the rain.  Fraser made the right decision by vetoing his own idea and sticking with the original plan, recognizing that the original destination was so important to his new bride! (After all we were returning to the scene of the “crime”, where Fraser proposed!) But before we get to “The Bench”, meet the guys: Toronto Wedding Photographer-32
