Who: Nadia & Nick (See here for their steaming HOT “Day before” session in Cancun Mexico and here for their sweet engagement session at Meadowvale Conservation Area in case you missed!)
Where: Cancun Mexico, Gran Caribe Real
Who Else: Family & Friends (and of course me and my trusty Camera!)
Why: LOVE (’nuff said!)
I boarded my family on a plane to travel to Cancun Mexico to photograph the beautiful wedding of Nick and Nadia. The 5 days we spent there were great, but I want to thank Nick and Nadia for something they gave me at their wedding. The chance to have my husband and kids attend their wedding. My kids have NEVER attended a wedding with me before and even though I was working, I got the chance to watch them on the dance floor, laughing and having a blast with Nick and Nadia’s friends and family who made my family feel like they were a part of their family. Truly Nick and Nadia, I can’t thank you enough for that. You are great people and we (my family and I) wish you a lifetime of happiness and love.
But enough of my mushy sentiment. Now on to Nick and Nadia’s mushy sentiment! 🙂 There were many tears cried this day and much laughter. Tears because as most brides and grooms realize on their wedding day, we know we are leaving our parents and in some small way saying goodbye to familiarity and embarking on what will be the longest portion of our journey in our life with our new spouse. Laughter because at the end of the day we know we are now married to our new partner in life and nothing really has changed other then our address. Parents still love us (and still tell us what to do! “But Mom, I’m married now!” And we can still visit for mom’s home cooking and maybe just maybe she won’t make us do the dishes!) And more laughter because we are surrounded by people who love us and are sharing in the joy of being a newly married couple.
Congrats Nick and Nadia:
Nick and the boys were busy getting ready in their hotel room:
And while the boys celebrated Nick’s pending nuptials with some cerveza, the girls were busy getting ready across the hotel…
I have to take a moment to brag here and just say how beautiful my niece looked! 🙂
But back to the bride! And WOW she was beautiful…
There were letters from the groom to the bride that made us teary-eyed and then there was a letter from the bride to her parents and I almost got into my ugly cry. You don’t want to see my ugly cry at your wedding. Man oh man, I had to do everything in my power to not start wailing like a baby…even when I see these photos, it brings all the emotion flooding back.
But then the ceremony starts and happiness is everywhere…
When your man has this smile on his face when he sees you, you know it’s a slam dunk!
Then it was time to party…and the partygoers did not disappoint!
After this sequence of events, there was some discussion that someone was sure the other person pushed them and that’s why they may have fell…
As the official documentarian of the event I am here to set the record straight that yes, you were both pushed…by Jose Cuervo 🙂
Nick and Nadia Thank you again for having us at your wedding. We wish you a lifetime of happiness, joy and love. All the best…
These are fantastic! From one photographer to another, you ROCK! Can`t wait to team up with you on a shoot!!
