Jessica and Hez met at University, in the orchestra to be exact. He played the violin, she played the clarinet. He proposed to her in the elevator at school where they shared their first kiss. And the rest as they say, is history. She said YES, and now they are planning their wedding. We headed out to Toronto’s Distillery District for some engagement photos.

Meet Jessica: (absolutely LOVE this picture of Jessica!)
Meet Jessica & Hez:
We had a little run in with the “weed” sheriff! I was a little intimidated afterwards, but Hez made me feel better by letting me know we were on public property taking photographs. A lady approached me and asked if I would stop taking pictures in front of this abandoned warehouse as they were trying to start a flower bed in front. She completely caught me off guard, as I wasn’t sure what she was saying exactly. She told me that all of “us” wedding photographers are ruining her flowers. I did mention to her that at that exact moment you couldn’t tell they were flowers that they looked like weeds so it is very hard to tell someone is planting something. She got VERY offended by that (I didn’t mean it in a bad way, I just meant sincerely that someone like myself would never know someone was trying to plant a garden there). She walked off in a huff and almost threw me off my game! Thank goodness Hez and Jessica are easy to photograph!
Jessica & Hez, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph you and the love you share, and Hez, thank you for alleviating my fears from the “weed” sheriff! 🙂
