You may remember Stefanie & Fraser from their engagement session back in 2012, if not refresh your memory and have a peak at it here! If feels like that was so long ago and that their wedding day took forever to get here! But get here it did, and it was well worth the wait. Stefanie & Fraser are down to earth, easy-going people. It rained on their day and for most bride’s this would be a catastrophe. But for Stefanie, it didn’t matter, and of course it shouldn’t. At the end of the night if you are married to the person of your dreams, the weather doesn’t matter! As luck would have it though, it magically stopped raining come ceremony time. The girls got ready at The Walper Hotel in Kitchener.
Both the ceremony & the reception were held at Verses Restaurant on Victoria Street in Kitchener. Before the ceremony started we could hear someone crying and I was sure it was Stefanie’s mom as she had been crying earlier. The cries got louder and I realized it was Stefanie in the back, waiting to walk down the aisle, overcome with emotion. (We laughed about it in the limo afterwards…”Was that really you crying like that?” ) 🙂 but why not? Weddings are such an emotional time.
After the ceremony, there was some debate as to whether we should go to the planned destination for photos or go somewhere else because of the rain. Fraser made the right decision by vetoing his own idea and sticking with the original plan, recognizing that the original destination was so important to his new bride! (After all we were returning to the scene of the “crime”, where Fraser proposed!) But before we get to “The Bench”, meet the guys:
The Ladies:
And of course the bench where it all began:
They had this beautiful photo box doubling as a gift holder at the reception! I loved loved loved the idea! One side had baby photos of Fraser, one had baby photos of Stefanie and then the others had photos of the two of them.
Fraser’s grandpa extended an Irish toast to the couple:
Stefanie & Fraser, thank you allowing me to be a part of your very special day! Congratulations on your wedding, and all the best to your wonderful future together!
